- [Instructor] We're starting a new chapter now in our DraftSight Essentials course, and as usual, we have a new drawing for you at the top of the screen there. It's 16_OtherCommands.dwg. You can download it from the website as usual, and use it to follow along with the videos in this chapter. Now as the drawing title suggests, in this chapter, we're going to be looking at other DraftSight commands that you would use on a day-to-day basis in your DraftSight drawings. So the first thing we're going to look at in this particular video is new entity layers. Now, you may think that you've already covered enough in this course about layers and about entity layers and about creating new layers. All I want to stress here is that you don't have to conform to the layers that you've already got in the drawing, or the layers that you're given in perhaps a DraftSight template.
