Illustrator artboard setup for Dimension graphics

- Dimension makes it easy to create 3D product comps from your Illustrator label designs. Placing Illustrator art on a 3D model in Dimension is as simple as drag and drop. To streamline the Dimension workflow though, you want to properly set up your Illustrator file first using artboards. Working with Illustrator artboards gives Dimension the ability to quickly switch between design options, making it a great workflow for 3D product comps. Let's imagine that I have a client who has contracted me to design the branding for a new line of flavored soda called Splash. I've started the brand design with the bottle label. The label is seven inches wide by three and a quarter inches tall, so I created the art on an artboard of that size. If I go to my Artboard tool, we'll see the size of the artboard in the properties panel here.
