- [Narrator] The education market is especially important to publishers. Students are often some of the most consistent readers, both of textbooks and of other books. My oldest daughter is a voracious reader who especially loves fantasy books. As she has moved into her tween years, and is preparing for middle school, I've been cautious about looking for books to recommend to her that are on keeping with her high reading skill, but not written for older teenagers with content that is not really appropriate for her current age. This is why it is important for you to clearly identify the intended audience and the complexity of the content you publish. If you are in the education space this will be more important. But I don't see any reason to include the data, even if you're not in that part of the publishing industry. Let's talk about the target audience first.
