- [Narrator] Professional reviews and endorsements of your book are helpful to consumers as they make their buying decisions. Retailers often collect reviews from other readers, but the reviews you send in your metadata feed allow the consumer to see what critics, experts, and others say about the book. Note that there is a difference between a review and an endorsement. A review is a professional quote about this book, usually one that was published in a magazine, a journal, or another publication. An endorsement is a quote provided by a celebrity, a professional in the field, or another important person that is not from a review. Reviews and endorsements are marked differently in your ONIX file, so it's important to know the distinction. As you can see in our ONIX file, we have both a review quote and an endorsement quote.
