Understanding and creating slideshows

…The Object States panel lets you create multiple versions of an object.…Each version is called a state, hence the name multistate object.…Let's see how we can leverage that feature to create slideshows for our DPS folios.…I'm going to open up a file in the exercise files folder.…Chapter 11 in the slideshow folder.…And I've got a bunch of objects here.…I'm not really sure how many yet right here…that I want to turn into a slide show.…

By converting it all over into a…multi-state object, so I'll just marquee around that.…And I've got a couple of more things than I actually want, so…here's a little tip that I like…to give everybody for managing multi-state objects.…Use the Layers panel to your advantage.…So I'm just going to open that up, and you can see I've already…got these on their own layer, but these other layers are still active.…And so what I'm going to do is just lock all…of these other layers by just clicking and dragging in here.…

And now, everything else will be protected from any mouse movements, any selections.…
