- [Instructor] As this is a software testing foundations course, I focus on how each stage integrates with testing. Quality exists in its own phase in the SDLC, but often it's being touched in different ways throughout the process. In these instances, it may require different levels of engagement, depending on where the product is in the life cycle, but the quality team is still deeply integrated into the process. In the following chapters, I will also be discussing the involvement of the testing team in various phases of the SDLC. Obviously the quality team owns the testing phase. However, as you will see later in this course, how the project is executed is dependent on the process model and the project management approach.
