Why serverless model?
- [Instructor] When we adopt a new path baking approach we tend to implement things the same way we did in the older approach. And this happened with cloud adoption as well. Before organizations adopted cloud computing, they deployed applications on the physical servers in their own data center. Then, many organizations virtualized their infrastructure. When they transitioned to cloud they started looking for servers in the cloud as well and continued the same type of deployment except now their deployment was on cloud hosted servers but did it have to be the same way? Cloud presents shared infrastructure to its customers. One possibility with shared infrastructure is that you can deploy your applications to cloud without any visibility to the underlying servers. This is called serverless computing and is offered by many cloud service providers. Serverless deployment means not having to worry about upgrading or patching…
