Warm up for a good candidate

Warm up for a good candidate
- Once I've discovered that a candidate has no tendency to fish for answers, I don't need neutral tone and body language anymore. I don't want the candidate to think they're coming to work with a bunch of robots. It's time to warm up to my usual self. Warming up takes a conscious effort, though. It's easy to fall into a neutral demeanor and just stay there as your natural interviewing persona. So remember, to warm up, smile more and loosen up when you begin to feel that you have a good candidate. Warming up to a candidate is actually a good way to make a positive impression with them. They assume, correctly, that they have impressed you and that improves their impression of you. Remember, they're interviewing you as much as you're interviewing them.
