Viability testing is taking the product through its paces to ensure there are no critical issues. Product prep is stepping through each of the pieces of the product and checking them off. In both cases, these steps help you find confidence the product is ready to hand off for customer validation. The purpose of a beta test is to have real people assessing the product from a real-world perspective. Getting the product into the hands of customers to validate the durability, quality, and performance is essential to the success of any product.
