- One of the hardest things about looking for work is that balance between push and pull. Anytime you look for another job, there may be something pushing you from your current job, and, hopefully, something positive and affirmative pulling you towards the new job. Speaking for myself, I would rather have candidates that have a stronger pull factor than a push factor. If you're too eager to run away from your current job, it affects your ability to make an informed decision about your goals. It's a bit like going to the supermarket when you're starving. Here are some key points to remember. Don't be overly critical of your last boss or teams. Relationships fall apart for several reasons. Goals and expectations change all the time, and there is more than one side to every story. The ability to recognize this and grow from it is leadership. Dwelling on it, badmouthing people behind their back, and using your interview as a pro bono catharsis session is a sign of immaturity. We all have…
