- [Narrator] Does everyone need to learn how to code? Certainly not. But if you want to have a technical or hands-on role, then learning to code is probably one of the most useful skills of the 21st century, and this is even if your end goal is not to become a software developer. Being able to code opens several opportunities to you, and so in this video, I'm going to be looking at the main software architecture and development trends with a focus on software development. Systems are getting increasingly more complex. We have event-driven architecture, big data, scalable AI and machine learning, and increasingly complex systems. It's important that we're aware about the tools used by practitioners in software architecture and development. In February 2020, Stack Overflow surveyed 65,00 software developers from 186 countries around the world. This is significant because this is the largest developer survey of its time.…
