(upbeat music) - [Narrator] Self-care and networking are more related than you might think. It takes care to develop confidence to lead to the best version of you when networking. (upbeat music) - Self-care is really about making sure that you are equipped to deal with all the stresses of life and work and balance in a fast-moving industry, but how does that relate to networking? Very simple. At the core, who you think you are and what you believe about yourself influences how much you get affected by how others perceive you, and what I mean by that is that, when you're starting out in tech, you are seeking other people's approval. You're looking for people to say this person is great. When you're networking, you are effectively at an imbalance of self-esteem. You're reaching out to someone else. You're more vulnerable to thinking they think of you a certain way. If you let that get to you, if you let yourself…
