- [Instructor] Release Planning is an activity that provides large scale feedback. It takes place at the scale of months, oftentimes quarterly. Release Planning is the act of gathering together as a team to plan the next few months of work and product deliveries. Most modern software delivery teams deliver releases quite frequently. Some teams deliver small releases many times a day. Regardless of how frequently they deliver working software to their stakeholders, they all find value in this month's long rhythm of feedback and planning. Some teams have adjusted the name of the activity to match their actual practice. Some call it quarterly planning because they do it every three months. Others call it product increment planning corresponding to a practice named in scaled agile framework. The result of Release Planning is a plan.
