- [Instructor] Planning and analysis seem to be the stages that would be the least likely to involve the quality teams or testing. However, during this phase, there are often several important roles the quality team takes in helping formulate new products and evaluating their feasibility. New products aren't born out of thin air. They are grown out of a problem needing to be solved. Companies design applications because there's a need being expressed by a customer. This need can be a completely new discovery or leverage an existing product. New features and functionality and fixes are all needs. During the planning and analysis phase, a marketing team, a product owner, a designer or some other group or person has come up with an idea for a product and it's viable enough to decide that this should be investigated.
