- [Instructor] In this video, we'll look at commands that have to do with the screen. Specifically, determining and setting the orientation of the screen, getting the window size, and retrieving screenshots. You might need to use Appium to figure out or set the device orientation or get the window size if your app adjusts its layout in any way based on these factors, which is a common occurrence. Some apps have different functionality available depending on whether the mobile device is in portrait or landscape mode. Sometimes differences in a window size can lead to different elements being on the screen. For example, a different number of elements in a list view. Differences in window size can also lead to differences in functionality.
