- [Instructor] An important part of performance testing is trying to understand what the performance will be like for different kinds of users. One way to do this is to control the speed of your network. You can do this with proxies. You can control a proxy directly on your computer. You can manually change proxy settings on your computer and set up a proxy that way, if you want to. But there are also network interception tools that can be helpful for understanding app performance in different types of networks and can make it a little easier to control how these proxies work. An example of a tool like this is Fiddler. You can go to telerik.com/fiddler and download this tool to try it out, and it gives you control over network calls which lets you experiment with different things like how different compressions types or header settings might affect your site's performance.
