Managing changes

[Instructor] - If one thing is certain in quality, it's that things change. The reality of product development is that what was initially conceived is rarely identical to what will be eventually delivered. In the planning stages, this means that you have to keep three things at the forefront. Be positive, be flexible, and most important, be precise. Being positive means that when changes arrive that impact your plan, don't push back initially. Keep an open mind about these changes, and understand how they might impact your test. Don't fixate on the challenges. Focus your energy on how you can incorporate or adjust your plan to suit the changes? Who knows? You may have an existing test case that covers the changes in your plan. If you do have to redesign some or all of the plan, it's not really something to get upset about. You have to place yourself in the shoes of the development team and what they are facing.…
