- [Instructor] Another option is to try and find out about jobs by speaking to employees of the place you might want to work at. During the COVID-19 lockdown in the UK, the organization I was working with was looking at making job cuts in my team. So I decided to look at options. I was interested to know what was on offer at a similar company based in London. So I did my research on LinkedIn and tried to find out who is in the machine learning and data science team in London. What you can sometimes do is if you have mutual connections with people you want to connect with, ask them to make an introduction. This way, you are more likely to get connected and speak to the people that you want to. Now, although I had a couple of mutual connections with some of the machine learning engineers and data scientists in this team, I didn't know any of these connections well enough to request a referral.
