Let the candidate ask questions

- Once you have asked all the questions you need to ask, don't forget to give the candidate a chance to ask questions. The most common questions you'll hear are about your company, your project, the technologies you use, and the processes you use to build software. Feel free to refer questions about the company, particularly benefit packages and such, to your human resources department. You should be able to answer most of the rest. Sometimes the candidate will ask questions about the business, such as long-term expansion plans. I like to see such interest in their potential employer. If you know the answer, and it isn't confidential, it's fine to answer. A warning though, they may have been coached by a recruiter to ask such questions. If the candidate seems not particularly interested in the answer, and asks no follow-up questions, that probably means they were coached. That doesn't really bother me, but if it happens,…
