- [Instructor] There is a distinct difference between planning and prepping. The effort involved in planning is strategic and focused on building foundations for a good project. Prepping is getting ready to execute your plan by configuring your resources, arranging systems, and working with your team. Both are critical to help launch your test. Launch is the moment you take your project concepts developed during planning and preparations you have made and transition into actual testing. If you have been listening to your partners and teams, you'll have a good idea when the software is going to be entering test. You might even be involved in early testing, assisting development with their initial versions of the test candidate.
