Interviewing as a team
- In this course I've assumed that you are the sole interviewer during the interview. However, large companies and large development teams sometimes prefer to have multiple interviewers. This can work quite well. My partner and I have done many joint interviews, and they have some advantages. Let me start with a caution, though. Two interviewers can work pretty well, but more than two starts to feel like an inquisition. Facing a panel of people across the table can be intimidating. If it makes the candidate too nervous to effectively show their qualifications, then it risks losing good candidates. There are some advantages of having two interviewers. One interviewer can focus on listening and observing at some points, because the other interviewer is formulating and asking the questions. My partner and I like to split up the questions.
