How do you become familiar with new technologies?
- I've seen this industry go through so many ways of change that I'm numb to it. I've gone from punch cards to character based terminals to graphical user interfaces to 3D holographic interfaces. Anyone who expects to keep developing software for many years must accept and even embrace rapid change. That means they're always learning. But how do they learn? And how proactive are they about it? I ask this question to find out. How do you become familiar with new technologies? I'm not looking for any particular answer here. People vary. Some like learning through video courses or books. Others just like to dive right in and build things with new technologies. I like to know that candidates have an approach to learning that works for them.
