In this video, learn how to drill into the product to find out useful and valuable information.
with an exploratory approach you don't have … a script to tell you what to do next, … so how do you decide what to do? … Well in exploratory testing you're doing this … based on what you've just done, … what you've seen a around you, … and what you're trying to accomplish. … I think of this as following the landscape. … What I mean by this is that the actions we take … are being guided by the things we see in the product, … and models we have in our head about the product, … and what were trying to do or learn about the product. … So we're taking all these things … and we're putting them together to guide us … in the next step that we're going to do. … The idea of exploratory testing … is itself a metaphor of course, … and so if we think about exploration in general … So think of an explorer that's come to a new land … and he wants to see if this might be a good area … to establish a new colony. … But he's just disembarked from a ship … how does he go about discovering things in this land? …
