- [Instructor] Quality testing isn't simply pushing a button and out pops a result. It's a carefully orchestrated series of events designed to test, stress, and evaluate every aspect of a product. Your goal in this early evaluation is about looking at your resources, what you have and don't have to test the product sort of like an audit. Your first audit is personnel. Based on the scope of the software you will define the amount of people it's going to take to complete testing. Estimates are often based on hours and the complexity of the application. Something complex like a word processor could have an identical timeline to something like a mobile game. Both could take four weeks of testing, but the word processor team might have a staff of 100 and the mobile game a staff of one.
