- [Instructor] Every project has an end date. Sometimes that date is fixed and tied to some specific event. Perhaps your company is trying to make it ready for a holiday event. Maybe a trade show is coming in. It's the perfect spot to launch the product. There could even be some arbitrary reason for the date. The point is, some time in the future your product is going to enter the real world. Designing a timeline is complicated. Thinking about all the features needing to be tested, and establishing how long it will take to complete testing on each almost feels like guesswork. And early on, that's not completely untrue. As you become more experienced you will quickly learn what activities are quick to complete, and what consumes a lot of time. In the beginning you may need to make some conservative guesses.
