- [Instructor] Quality testing isn't simply people running tests. It's a collection of tools, people, and time being organized to successfully achieve specific goals. Which of these touch this project? The process of documenting the configuration in a test plan can feel overwhelming at first. The natural question is, Where do I start? In order to begin documenting this in the plan, you will need to scope out the hardware and software needed to successfully test the product. This is an incredibly complicated process, and can involve things like custom system configuration, system resets, licensing, and even potential automation. While I won't go into the potential scenarios here, just know it needs to be clearly documented in the plan. Part of the reason for documentation is self-serving.
