- Sending a thank you note to your hiring manager is a no-brainer. In my thank you note for the hiring manager I typically do the following, first, I offer insights on the process and what I learned about the role and the company. Then, I explain why I'm still excited about the role and how the interview added to my excitement. I also explain what about the hiring manager's vision and goals makes me want to work with them even more. Finally, I explain that I'm hopeful for a long-term relationship regardless of whether or not this current opportunity works out.
