What is a build process?
- You know what's tedious? Sending thank you cards to all your fans. First, you have to make a list of everyone you're sending them to. Then, you have to write a personal note to everyone. (stamp tapping) Put it in an envelope. Put a stamp on it. Seal it and mail it off. The suffering we do for our fans. 'Kay, so I'm being a bit dramatic here, but there's a point to all this. Tools, and especially machines, are created by humans to do the work we either don't want to do, can't do, or can't do in an efficient way. And computers are in many ways the pinnacle of this approach to the world. We create computers to do things so we ourselves don't have to do them. Take optimizing code for a computer as a example. Humans are really good at writing computer code, but when it comes to making that code as clean, and efficient, and well-suited for a computer as possible, things get real tricky real fast.
