- [Instructor] Archiving sometimes evokes the impression of locking things up and throwing away the key. In fact, archiving and quality testing is better when you can just put things out of sight and you can channel your focus on other tests. However, you won't want it far away, as you may return to your work sooner than you anticipate. You will be developing tools and processes and test cases that are likely going to be useful for other projects. When you archive your project, you are basically putting it on a reference shelf to go back to it later for help with future tests. You will know immediately when new projects arrive how useful and valuable past test materials are when you have to write a new plan or test an update to software you just tested.
