The course content tab is the main location on Desire2Learn (D2L) for storing classroom content and making it available to students. It also provides a central place within D2L where students can access additional materials. This online video training covers setting up modules and submodules of content on the course content tab, as well as linking the course content tab with quizzes, discussion boards, video resources, and external links.
- [Narrator] In this video,…we're going to look at the Course Content tab.…Your specific navigation there may vary,…but in our setup, we get there…simply by selecting Content on the…main navigation bar.…The Content tab is usually the first place…students go to find course materials,…and it provides easy access to…dropboxes, quizzes, readings,…discussion boards and really almost…any other course component.…As a consequence though, you need…to keep material accessible.…That starts with understanding…modules and sub-modules.…
Modules are the main organizational units…for course materials, and most courses…contain multiple modules.…To add a module, just go here to the…Add a module command and type in…your intended module name,…something simple like Unit One in our case,…and then hit Enter.…The module will then appear in the content area,…and you'll get a notice saying that…it was added successfully.…Once you've got the module set up,…you have several options for…populating it with content.…
