- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll see how the studio link feature allows you to use the features of Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer on your layouts in Publisher. The first thing you need to know about studio link is that in order to use it, you need to buy and install Affinity Photo and/or Affinity Designer and keep them updated to the same version as Affinity Publisher. That way they can work as a unit. You don't have to use or own Affinity Photo or Designer in order to use Publisher. It's a fully functional standalone application. You just need the other apps if you want to take advantage of studio link. To demonstrate, in my document I'd like to make these wavy lines around the headline a little more interesting.
