- [Instructor] We all connect on an emotional level, and once you've determined your ideal client is, it's really important to understand how to speak to them. You don't want to start straight with selling your product or service. You really want to empathize with them. You want to get to know them. Empathy mapping allows you to understand what your potential clients are experience, what they may think or say, how they feel, their fears versus their wants, their anxieties versus hope. This really helps you to be able to connect with them on a deeper level. Empathy allows you to relate and truly connect with your target audience. It's not just about making a sale. And how you do that is by creating an empathy map. So, essentially, you start with naming your person. You could give him, him or her a name.
