- [Instructor] Now let's get down to the hands-on logistics for storyboarding. Don't forget to review what you gathered about a design task in the understanding phase. It may have been days or weeks since that work was done. Then, the team generates ideas via sketching in half-hour sprints. A small team can just work together, but if a team is big enough, split into sub-teams for this work. That's a great way to improve the chances of coming up with multiple design ideas. After a half-hour design sprint, all members of the teams should come back together and show each other their designs and critique the designs that they produced. Witnesses and omissions should be noted at this point. Then, another sprint can begin. Sub-teams can be mixed up for the second sprint if you like. Keep going until the team has at least two well-developed design approaches for this task. Two sprints are usually needed, you might need three, but rarely more than that.
