- [Instructor] So let's see about whipping our front matter into some sort of shape. We currently have four pages of front matter in this document, so on the first page, there is the text that will become the title page, and we have our first dedication, followed by the second dedication, followed by a blank page, followed by the title page, followed by another blank page. First thing I want to do is delete that text frame on blank page four, delete the text frame on blank page two, and then, with the text that will become the half-title, I'm going to use a script to break the frame, to remove it from the text flow. The front matter is very bitty by its nature, so I want to chop the individual pieces up into independent text frames. So this is a script that comes with InDesign. It's in the Sample Scripts folder, in the JavaScript folder. Just select the frame, double-click on break frame, and you can see those linking text thread arrows now disappear.
