- Redesigning a project, whether it's a logo, website, branding effort, or print project, has its own set of challenges. It's also incredibly rewarding, recognizing that you helped a client move forward and succeed. Let's recap some of the issues we explored here. One of the misconceptions about design is that we do it to make something pretty. Making something pretty can be nice, however, in reality, we design to meet the goals of the client. In a redesign, these are even more apparent. Your client may be moving into a different business. They may need to overcome a negative image. Alternatively, someone new is in charge, and there is an alternative set of goals to achieve. These are all valid reasons. Rarely will someone spend time and money to make something just more attractive. We also explored ways to determine what was needed. Like any design project, the criteria is developed by understanding the competition, audience, produce attributes, and history. It may become apparent…
