- If you plan on becoming a speaker, you can always make more informed decisions and plan more effectively if you ask the event organizers smart questions. Let's cover the questions to ask organizers to make your overall experience more seamless. Not all speaking opportunities are worth the time and effort, especially if you are paying your own way. Unfortunately, many conferences still don't pay speakers or at least don't pay all their speakers. This is especially true if you are a new speaker or if the event is smaller and local. And just like you qualified new business opportunities, you should also vet the speaking opportunity to make sure you have all your ducks in a row.
