- [Instructor] Now, at the beginning of this lesson, we talked about resolution and the need to have enough pixels to express the level of detail that we need to resolve. I mentioned that I like to work in a document that has at least 2,000 pixels in it's shortest dimension. You can use that as a rule of thumb if you don't really know how you'll be using your art and want to make sure you have enough detail for most printing needs. I made this one a little larger at 3,000 pixels square, as you can see right here in the header section of my clip studio paint document. Now, that we're ready to use this art for a specific output, let's create a new file as a container for our art that meets the requirements of our intended use and now also uses the resolution field that we ignored at the beginning.
