- [Instructor] Since writing these sentences that are based on your observations of users is a key step in the understanding phase, I think it's a good idea practice to practice writing them before your first real project. I suggest taking an application or website that you use regularly and listing at least half a dozen observations about your experience with it. Do you have trouble finding an e-mail or document that you read last week? Do you waste time on tedious things that don't apply to your situation? Think particularly about your frustrations with the app or website that you chose. What about it gets on your nerves? Write out some simple sentences that describe your frustration. While over half my time is spent in UX design these day, I still write code, mostly using Visual Studio, based on my long-time experience with it.
