- In our profession, it never fails to amaze me how quickly things can go sideways. You can have the ideal client, project, and timeline, and yet, things might not finish well. I like to reduce that possibility as much as I can because a project gone wrong is not good for anybody. Once the project is off and running here are some key things that need to stay top of mind. Do not stop communicating, no matter how well or easy a project seems to be going. Getting too comfortable and not sticking to a consistent process of checking in, hitting timelines, and communicating to clients is an easy flub to make. When client relationships are really comfortable, the danger of losing your focus can ruin those in a blink.
