You are ready to get going with building your online community, and now it's time to put all the various pieces together. Benjamin Franklin said it best: by failing to prepare, you're preparing to fail. Let's work together to avoid that. Your strategy includes your goals, your audience, being familiar with your competition, the types of platforms you use, and what makes you different. Before starting your online strategy, list your desired goals and make sure they are achievable. For example, if your goal is to have a million Facebook followers by the end of the year and you currently only have 150, that's probably not going to happen. A more realistic goal would be to increased email sign ups, or white paper downloads, or contact inquiries by 30%.
