- I think as logo designers, that some of the most effective messaging we can create is controlled by what we don't place in the mark. Maybe we establish the scene with imagery that builds consumer anticipation and by omission what's missing has an even more profound impact. Someone stole half the bike rider here and I want to know why. If the rider was completely here, there's no reason for me to engage. Where's the rest of the star? Who took the I's out of the word, and when are they going to put 'em back? You should love taking the opportunity to set the public up with a little concern. It frankly, is presenting them with a chance to be the hero and solve a riddle. The I's are missing because they're invisible. We're seeing more and more logos that are taking this challenge to heart in a unique way. A bit like this mark for the National Gallery in Prague.
