- Plan and take a creative vacation. I know, now I'm talking your language. Few have a problem taking vacations, but most don't have a creative purpose for vacation. Vacations rock because you leave responsibility behind, and entertainment and relaxation is the only goal. This is a fine approach to vacation that will certainly help to recharge your batteries. But what if vacation was more than a retreat from responsibility, but also a retreat from the things that helped create your rut? For me, I was once asked to run a murder mystery in a 1930s sugar plantation on the island of Kaua'i. I spent 10 days in a most beautiful environment I could possibly imagine. Half the time I was spent laying on the beach and kayaking down the river.
