- [Instructor] By the way, there are a lot more design principles than I will have time to cover in this course. I'll stick to the ones I think you'll need the most. Later in the course, I'll discuss some additional resources for learning more about design principles. Let's look at another example of such a principle. It's called inattentional blindness. You may have seen this in action. There are some videos that show two teams passing basketballs around. If you've not seen any of those videos here's a link for one of the best done by the BBC. I'll show you a more prosaic example using software. The following screen shows sports equipment. Each item is in a card view. I'll show it for a few seconds and I want you to count the number of football items that you see. Most people can spot the three footballs. But there was a lot of other equipment too.
