- Between budgets, timelines and unpredictable clients managing a project well will give you as much control as you can possibly have. I had a conversation not long ago with one of my co-workers. She was saying it would be great to get all the details up front before we start a project. Have our clients and vendors agree to a timeline and budget. Have a certain amount of revisions and feedback allowed and then have our clients sign off on what we present. I took a breath, smiled and said, I agree with you 100%. I went on to tell her that she basically just described the project management process. But in fact there are a bunch of items and steps that she left out. I share this with you because I think in a perfect world we all want just that, to spend time only on the things that we are most suited for, inspired by and excited about.
