- [Instructor] You can invest in lots of design areas. Some projects need to invest in helping users find the information they need quickly. Others, such as companies that sell a package, might rank aesthetics very high because that helps sales. Whereas a corporate team wouldn't be as worried about that. Applications where errors are expensive, such as healthcare, may put more emphasis on reducing those errors. Applications that assist users in making decisions may need special design to help them do that quickly and effectively. This list is one that I use in my own projects to help gauge where we should invest design effort and to get some tangible numbers for those priorities I have an exercise for the team. It only takes 10 minutes or so, but it reveals a lot about what the team thinks about the priorities.
