Previewing the possibilities

- Before you start learning about InDesign's animation features, I think the best first step you can take is to actually see some examples of what you can do. Most people are really amazed by the possibilities. I want to show you just a few examples we'll be working on throughout this course. And I'm going to preview them right here in InDesign. You may have already seen examples like this. Simple, more subtle animations, and sometimes that's all you need. But there are so many other things you can do with InDesign animations that can help you create a more engaging experience for your audience. For example, take a look at some of the type effects you can create. Or how about animating your logo? Or using animation in your digital advertising? It can help your branding much more memorable. You can use animations to perk up charts and graphs, which, let's face it, sometimes could use a little help, right? Animations work great for slideshows. Animation can bring simple, every day objects to life. InDesign's animations are great for adding interactivity to children's books, with simple animations and more complex ones. You can even use InDesign animations in button-driven, multi-state objects. A great way to improve your presentations. Animations can be layered in a way that tells a story. And animations can liven up just about any kind of book or publication, like this cookbook. These are just a few examples of what can be done. Hopefully this will get you even more excited to get started learning all about InDesign's animation features.
