Sketching spatial designs in perspective

- We're going to make a somewhat radical departure in this movie, which will hopefully make sense shortly. And in fact, reinforce much of what we've been doing throughout this course. My focus has been primarily on sketching single products, which in my opinion, make it easier to void all the perspective setup because the products are sketched in relative isolation. However, when you sketch situations that have more elements then suddenly the spatial relationships become more complex because now every component is sitting in the same space and not always going to the same vanishing points. This is certainly the case for exhibition designers, who are conceptualizing physical objects in an architectural space. Such as a trade show booth or full scale exhibit or museum space. If everything in exhibit space was parallel or perpendicular to each other, it'd be a lot easier to visualize, but a lot less interesting from the stand point of the designer wanting to activate a space to attract…
