- So now from here I can take the lightest tonal string, 'cause when I look at the image you can see how the tones of these are very close. The sky tone and the cloud tone, they're very close in terms of their value. So I can just take some of that, add a bit of the blue into it. And it's got a bit of pinkiness to that actual color of the sky, so add a bit of pink to it as well. Bit of water, just so it's got a bit of flow. I can use that mix, there's some of that lighter pinky hues in other parts of the painting. And then these areas of the sky, I can now see that I can go a bit heavier on those with a bit thicker paint. So that was just with the red and the yellow and a bit of the white. Again, I'm just lightly stumbling the brush over the surface as I can warm up the tone as I get to the right hand side of the painting. And then for the top part of the sky, I'm going to start with the blue. And add a tiny bit of the yellow to it so it goes a bit more greeny. Tone it down with the…
