- So now this is Ultramarine Blue, and I can just grab a little bit of that and add some the Titanium White to it. Again, just dip it into the water just to get that nice flow. So what I'm doing here is just using the side of the brush to block in the color, and notice how the brush doesn't really come off of the canvas surface. It's just scrubbing it in onto the actual texture of the canvas. And now you can start to use the different paints and mix them onto the actual canvas as you're painting. As you're seeing parts that just need blending in, you can just start to jump to the white and put those in. I'll just add a little bit more white as I get further down the canvas. Again keep on dipping into that water. Whoops! And then when you become more confident with the tones that you've mixed, you can start to add them more thickly onto your canvas. And now we can start to combine the two together where we've got these grayer tones into the clouds. Take some of the blue and just add in…
