Finding skeletal landmarks: Front and side view

- When your starting to learn to draw the figure, one of the most important things to start to understand are the skeletal landmarks right under the surface of the skin. These landmarks are like the architecture of the body, and understanding them will help you place your figure with more structure and proportion. So, we are going to be working with our model Sarah, and I'm going to be scanning down her body. And I'm going to be pointing out this landmarks so that as we go along, you can start to understand them and start to develop your x-ray vision. Alright. So, we're going to start here at the forehead. And the forehead as you can see, in raking light, is an important place to begin. Raking light is going to be enhancing the beauty of these landmarks and really showing them off. So, we are starting with the forehead and working our way down the bridge of the nose, and then off the nose, we have the cheekbones.
